Carl earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University, where he earned recognition as a National Scholar, and holds architectural registrations in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, New Jersey, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Carl has completed more than forty primary and secondary school projects totaling over three million square feet. Carl has also successfully completed over two million square feet of Office/R&D projects. Prior to DRA, Carl served a one-year term as a VISTA volunteer architect for the Los Angeles Community Design Center. Carl maintains professional affiliations with the American Institute of Architects, Boston Society of Architects, Urban Land Institute, and Japan Society of Boston. In addition to these achievements, Carl is a lifetime honorary member of the Boston Architectural Center where he has participated as a design studio instructor, a thesis advisor and currently serves on the Practice Curriculum Committee.
