Drummey, a graduate of the Boston Latin School and MIT, established his own architectural practice. His first significant commission, the Capitol Movie Theatre in Arlington, MA was completed in 1925. The first school project was the Conley Elementary School in 1932. This achievement marked the beginning of a long, successful tradition of quality school design.
