Principal Owen Beenhouwer joined DRA in 1975 and has been a Principal since 1986. Owen attended Bowdoin College and Yale University's Graduate School where he earned an M.S. in Conservation of Natural Resources, then continued on to earn his Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University School of Architecture. Owen is a registered architect in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Massachusetts (in addition to being NCARB certified) and maintains professional affiliations with the American Institute of Architects, Boston Society of Architects, Society for Preservation of NE Antiquities, and National Trust for Historic Preservation.
As principal at DRA, Owen works with marketing, management and professional development. Throughout his career at DRA, Owen has been primarily responsible for courthouses, offices and interiors, and schools - both new and renovation/additions, including over forty educational projects totaling over three million square feet of completed construction. |
