US Trust Building
Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA
The ten-story addition consists of six floors of office space, four levels of structured parking for 140 cars, and a new US Trust Middlesex Branch Bank.
DRA planned the facility to meet the developer's requirements for efficiency and flexibility. The first class office space also had to be acceptable to the neighborhood. Three and four-story brick apartment buildings border the site and line the streets of the surrounding area. From the commencement of the project, representatives from the Area 4 Neighborhood Association and Cambridge Community Development Office worked closely with DRA and Intercontinental. The team worked amicably toward reviewing the design intent and addressing community concerns, such as, building scale, massing and materials.
