Dr. William Arnone Elementary School

As part of an overall effort to revitalize the public school system, DRA performed a system-wide feasibility study and long-term planning effort encompassing twenty-one of the City's schools: 16 elementary, 4 junior high and 1 high school. Arnone Elementary School, which opened in January 2002 on Belmont Street on the edge of downtown, is one of the most ethnically and racially diverse schools south of Boston. The school serves grades K-6 and offers a Hispanic Bilingual Program. The facility features state of the art classrooms, science labs, green house, theater, cafeteria, gymnasium, library, computer lab and music room and was built on a former brownfield site.
