Crisafulli Elementary School Westford, MA
The school was built on a site containing significant ledge, wetlands and tough topography. Because community use was an important consideration during design, the library and oversized gymnasium are located so they can be secured from the remainder of the building after hours. The lobby and library are two-stories to allow for natural light and air circulation. The client also requested unusually high ceiling heights in the classrooms to maximize natural light and air flow to create an optimal environment for learning.
