After completing a School and Municipal Study, DRA designed a new K-2 school constructed on the site of the existing school (later demolished). Parents and community members were hesitant to move from small neighborhood schools to a larger 560-student facility. DRA overcame this concern by creating a school 'village' comprised of classrooms or group unit 'houses' with common cluster spaces in each. The team clusters are color coded to ease way finding. The exterior incorporates the 'village' language with towers and rotundas. A Main Street joins all of the clusters and core spaces such as the library, gym and cafetorium.
