Remington Jefferson School Franklin, MA
DRA prepared a program for a 1,100 pupil combined elementary and middle school. Planned to minimize contact between the two student populations while meeting the academic needs of both groups, the school has two separate academic wings connected by a common core. The common core contains a library, gymnasium and cafeteria and can be secured apart from academic spaces for after-school community use. The football, baseball and softball, and soccer fields, were also designed with the community in mind.
This school has received numerous local and national design awards.
