Alden and Chandler Elementary Schools and Performing Arts Center
Duxbury, MA
To accommodate a growing population and upgrade out of date building systems, DRA designed renovations and additions to both Alden and Chandler elementary schools for the town of Duxbury. Chandler received a two-story addition with new classrooms and Alden a 40-classroom addition. New roofs, windows and extensive site work, including a new playground are also part of the scope. The schools share a site with the town library, swimming facility and middle and high schools. As part of this "town campus," DRA also designed a new performing arts center.
