Franciscan Children's Hospital

The Great Barrier Reef waiting area at the Franciscan Children's Hospital is 2635 sf packed full of engaging and educational fun for the young patients of the hospital. Using interesting materials in unusual ways, DRA designed an interior space that invokes the wonder of an aquatic space while improving the patient check in and waiting areas. Children can read books, watch videos in the television area or look through portals into the sea world.
A joint project with the Starlight Children's Foundation, DRA donated their time to ensure the success of this community project.
