The 12,000 square foot Sub-Acute Care Unit at Greenwood Health Center provides the Hartford Community with an additional option in recuperative health care delivery. The unit provides services within the continuum of healthcare services for those patients requiring a higher acuity level of care.
The project addressed entry sequence, office space, reception, and waiting areas as part of the effort to re-design the entry, which is shared by the sub-acute care unit and the pre-existing long-term care facility. The Sub-Acute Care Unit features dedicated spaces for admission, evaluation, lounge, and dining areas. The unit is supported by occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and hydrotherapy areas.
