Newton North and South High Schools
Newton, MA
Newton is currently undertaking an addition/renovation project to equalize its two high schools. Newton South is being renovated and added on to in two phases. The first phase is complete, which consisted of site work and a classroom wing addition. The second phase is underway and includes the additions of an athletic field house, student center (dining facility), and band rooms. DRA is presently working with Newton to study the Newton North project. Both projects include study of alternative energy sources and responsible use of the site. Newton South High School includes photovoltaic cells and the reuse of gray water within the building.
