The Center was sited for visibility, because the remaining buildings are hidden from view on a wooded hill. The Center's three floor plates slip into a steep site located at the main entrance to the campus. The three core departments - drama, art and music - spread from the central two-story lobby. This spacious common area is designed for receptions during art exhibits and intermissions during theatre productions. The main feature of the first floor is the 650-seat-theater. The drama program is adjacent and includes a scene shop, green room, and a "black box" theater for 125 people. The second floor serves the music program with choral rehearsal, practice, and an electronic music space. A wide corridor for student display leads to the art department lecture hall, offices, and studios.
