Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational High School
New Bedford, MA

DRA has been working with Greater New Bedford for over 15 years.  Our initial planning effort determined the need for a 3-story academic wing to address growing enrollments and outdated facilities.  We designed new labs and converted existing labs to classroom space.  Improvements were completed for culinary arts, diesel education, aquaculture, hydroponics, childcare and dental assistance.  A few years later we developed a Capital Improvements Master Plan.

Then in 2011 DRA was selected by the MSBA to assess the needs and create a plan for additional classrooms, enlarged science rooms to meet new state guidelines, new seating space for the cafeteria,   new multi-use forum space, a new culinary kitchen, a new servery in the existing cafeteria, right sizing of certain of the existing shops, and new mechanical and electrical systems for the entire complex.  The new spaces will be housed in a three story classroom addition and one story cafeteria, forum and culinary kitchen addition.
